How to Adopt a Happy Dog

Our adoption procedure is very simple. 

1.  Choose a dog you are interested in from our site

2.  Fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Most of our dogs are being fostered in our sister rescues in Tennesse, Arkansas and Kentucky.  We have a very limited number of dogs here in New England with our foster families.  If the dog you choose is in the New England area already, we can arrange a visit with you.  If the dog you choose is in the south, you can reserve him/her for transport after your questions have been answered. 

Once you have been approved for adoption and an adoption counselor has answered all your questions, you can reserve your dog by paying the transport fee and the adoption fee.  All dogs and puppies are $440 if paid by Paypal/credit card OR $425 if paying by cash/check.  We invoice you via email and you can choose your payment method.  Once these fees have been paid, you will be contacted regarding specific transport dates and times.  We stay in close contact with awaiting adopters until pickup day.  Please plan to bring a leash and LOTS OF LOVE!!!!  We are committed to helping you find the best dog for your family and for all our dogs to find the best home for them.  While we don't want the dogs to have to ride to the northeast unnecessarily, we do offer to help you find the right dog if the dog you choose isn't a good fit.  We will work with you to find the best dog for your home.

Happy Dogs is licensed with the State of New Hampshire Department of Agriculture and all dogs entering the state have met the state requirements for being transported and adopted.
