--Dogs being fostered in the New England area, and who can be seen by appointment:
Belle, Quinnie, Max and Kava are available to visit here in New England. Please fill out an application or email us and we can set up an appoinment for a visit.
Most of our dogs are still in Tennessee, Kentucky or Arkansas, awaiting transport. Adopting a dog from the south is a ticket to the Promise Land for a dog down there.

We are a rescue group who helps dogs in the south to find homes in the New England area. Our group is made up of volunteers only. We have no paid staff. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL SHELTER. We have only a few animals kept in loving foster homes in the New England area. These dogs can be seen by appointment. Most of our dogs are adopted to pre-approved homes on our Saturday transports. All of our foster homes, both in the south and the northeast, have children and other animals and our Happy Dogs are very be well-socialized. Our dogs are transported with Port-a-Pups, who is licensed by the State of New Hampshire Department of Agriculture. Special care is taken so that each dog has a wonderful ride to his or her new home. The staff at Port-a-Pups is loving and devoted to saving dogs.
Our goal is to save animals and find them great, loving homes. When we rescue an animal, we have certain vetting requirements that the pet must adhere to before getting adopted out. This includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, worming and treatment for parasites. Each dog is seen by a vet and travels with an interstate health certificate.

Many area animals are euthanized each week in the south. We hope to help curtail this sad reality.
We are all volunteers so email inquiries are preferred. If you are interested in a specific animal to adopt, you MUST fill out an adoption application entirely before we contact you. PLEASE do not fill out an application if you are not serious about adopting a dog. Again, we are all volunteers and we can only work with serious adopters. We will be happy to keep your application on file and work to find you the best dog for your family.
Donations to our group go to vetting our animals and transporting them to safety.
